Pirate Chase Race Fest

Arrrrgh you ready to run?

This year’s Race Fest will take place on Saturday, November 10th, at 8AM. Come participate in the only road races that finish INSIDE Dowdy Ficklen Stadium & see yourself on the giant scoreboard! Presented by the Pitt County Pirate Club Chapter, all proceeds benefit student athletic scholarships via the ECU Pirate Club.

The BB&T Wealth 10K will start near the ECU Hall of Fame, run through the beautiful ECU Main Campus, Uptown to the Greenway, and back up Elm as you finish running past Clark-LeClair Stadium and finally INTO Dowdy Ficklen Stadium! The BB&T Wealth 5K starts at the ECU Hall of Fame, down to campus entrance, back up Elm and then past Clark-LeClair Stadium and finally INTO Dowdy Ficklen Stadium. Looking for a fun family experience? Bring the kids and participate in the family friendly Academy Sports 1 Mile Fun Run, which also finishes INSIDE Dowdy Ficklen Stadium! Come hang out with PeeDee & the ECU Cheerleaders! Free parking will be available on site, in the Silver lot (behind the North Side/Upper Deck of Dowdy Ficklen Stadium).

Online registration opens on May 1! All early registrants are guaranteed a race t-shirt with their paid registration. Early bird pricing is as follows:

10K - $30 5k - $25 Fun Run - $10

Returning in 2018 is a Runner Referral benefit. You can earn a $15 refund of your registration fees by referring 3 friends to sign up and join you at the Pirate Chase Race Fest. All you need to do is share your unique referral link, which you will receive when you register for the race. Get 3 friends to sign up for the Race Fest and you will automatically receive a $15 refund of your registration fee. Cha-Ching! You can email, share on social media or text your friends this link. You can receive an additional $15 refund on your registration fees for each additional 3 friends you refer up to the amount paid for your registration.

Courses
Both the 10K and 5K courses will be USATF certified! Official course maps will be posted ASAP.

Awards
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
