The Pomona 5K/10K celebrates its 7th anniversary on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Don't miss the chance to be a part of this historic milestone. With an average of 600 running participants, and over 300 spectators in Downtown Pomona to cheer on all the runners, this event is a premier community event in the City of Pomona with a wide reach.
Our Background
The Pomona 5K was born in 2016, with the vision of creating a community-driven running event in the heart of Downtown Pomona. The Pomona 5K is a partnership between Pomona Valley Runners, a local running group, and various community organizations including God’s Pantry, a community-based nonprofit organization. This event has been coordinated by a core group of dedicated community leaders from Pomona who volunteer their time to put on this event from the ground up.
