Prairie Burn 100

Everyone here at Prairie Burn HQ is excited to see you in 2024!  This year we have 3 ALL NEW exciting loops, chock full of the best gravel and B-roads in the Midwest. We’re offering chip-timing this year and some Cash Prizes for our 100 Mile Race Challenge, and a Dash for Cash Strava segment for all 3 loops and entry categories.  Our 5K Fun Run is back for our Run/Walk enthusiasts. Race or Ride - It’s Your choice. Ride 25, 50 or the full 100 mile Race Course. Ride any distance while chatting  with your friends or race for your best time! Bring family and friends and enjoy our fun Central Park activities - Food Trucks, Yoga, Farmers Market, Live Music and Beer Garden.  

Proceeds from the event go to Imagine Grinnell, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a more vibrant, sustainable, and healthy Grinnell. We’ve been striving for these goals since 1985, spearheading local achievements like the Farmer’s Market, local bike paths, the skatepark, 1000 Trees Initiative, and our exciting new Grinnell Bike Share Program. 

Our goal for the event is to fundraise for Imagine Grinnell, but if the $50 entry fee is a barrier to your participation, please email us at [email protected]. 

100 Mile Challenge Race class starts at 7 am Saturday, June 8, with 25 and 50 milers leaving at 8 and 9 am. The 5K Fun Run starts at 10am.  The start and finish line is on Park street by the Central Park Shelter House.
