About the event
The Race for Rescue, Oahu Search and Rescue’s primary fund raising event, is a 5K run that has been held each year, in October. For 2023 the course will be along the beautiful Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline just East of Hawaii Kai. OSAR relies on this event to fund our organization for the next year, covering costs like insurance, technical rescue gear, and educational supplies.
This year there will be two different events:
The RACE for RESCUE 5K will be held on October 28th at the Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline. Enjoy the amazing scenery while you run/walk a 5K out and back.The VIRTUAL 5K can be run any time during the race window (October 1st - October 31st), anywhere in the world. You simply run/walk 5k at the location and time of your choosing, and then upload your time to the race website.
