The Rio do Rastro Marathon, located in the Serra do Rio do Rastro, Santa Catarina, Brazil, is a sporting event featuring 12km, 25km, and 42km Road Races, as well as a 40km Bike Race. It is known for its challenging altimetric gain of 2,600 meters, making it one of the most difficult marathons in Brazil. The Marathon includes the Guardians' Mission, where 100 athletes will have the chance to run 25km on Saturday and 42km on Sunday to earn the 67km medallion. In addition, the Santa 7k Challenge is a strategic challenge for athletes to demonstrate their physical and psychological preparation. Beyond the race itself, the experience of the Rio do Rastro Marathon is unique, transforming participants into Guardians of the Mountain. The event also provides an excellent infrastructure at Mirante da Serra with protection from the weather, lounges, expos of sports products, and a music program with local and national artists to entertain athletes and their families.
