About the event
Atlanta Grand Prix is back!
Think you've run everywhere in Atlanta? Think again. Did you run AGP last year? We've got all new courses!
The Atlanta Snack Club has created six non-traditional race courses to keep you on your toes (literally) and show you some of Atlanta’s most unique places. A single course is "open" for 2 weeks, letting runners attempt multiple runs before we move on to the next course. Submit your fastest time on each course for a chance to win the ultimate big ass trophy. Not planning to podium? We believe everyone busting their butt deserves awesome prizes. Raffles are held every two weeks for big prizes and surprises from our sponsors.
Important Notes:
For last year's runners, we've listened to your feedback and we have improved the way we will be tracking overall results thanks so some data superstars. These routes will take you on some unpaved terrain (think alleys, stairs and gravel) and will require you to make yourself familiar with the course before heading out. We will provide voice turn-by-turn directions through the RunGo app (free), course descriptions and a printable cue-sheet to take with you. GPS is not 100% accurate but is the best option for virtual race submissions. If your goal is more focused on winning rather than having a great time, then you may want to sit this one outSo will you get lost? Most likely, yes. There are lots of turns and some unique routes and man run more than the distance on the course description if you get lost so be prepared to be out there longer than your usual 10k/5k time. Again, these are not your usual certified race courses. Read and then RE-READ the course descriptions, take a cue sheet and use the GPX data or the app and you'll be in good shape. You can change from short/long course (or vice versa) until race day. Whichever distance you run the first race, you have to stick with that distance for all six races. No flip-flopping! However, you will have access to both course distances so you can run the other distance as well- just don't submit a time. What do I get for my money?
6 races (that's only $12.50 per race and $10.80 for the early bird folks)rnnr Marathon sockrnnr Lightweight running hat (no Truckers this year)Price increase! The price will go up to $75 for the series on April 7 so register soon to be the best pricing.
