Roar Like a Lion 5K & Kids Fun Run

South Beach Church's 2nd Annual "Roar Like a Lion 5K & Kids Fun Run" is on Saturday, August 19!

Hosea 11:10 "They shall walk after the Lord. He will roar like a lion. When He roars, then His sons shall come trembling from the west..."

Location: SE 40th St. in South Beach, OR (1/4 mile off of Hwy 101 on the north side of the road - look for the flags!)
Please plan to park at South Beach Church as the property doesn’t have parking. Shuttle vans will be available!

Kids Fun Run: Kids ages 12 & under will run an exciting, kid-friendly trail around the property! Kids ages 0-5 will start at 9a and race to complete one 1/4-mile loop. At the completion of their race, ages 6-12 will then begin their race to complete four laps for a total of 1 mile. Swag bags & ribbons will be provided for all finishers, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in the 1-mile race! Please be sure your kiddos have close-toed shoes as there are exposed roots & the trail is dusty.

5K Walk/Run: This will be a mixed road + trail run through the trails surrounding the Wilder community. Please note that this is a fairly technical course with a lot of terrain & elevation changes. (Official course map to be posted at a later date.) Awards will be provided to the top three finishers in each of our age divisions (12 & under, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) as well as an overall male & female prize in each division. The trail is bumpy & narrow in spots, so no strollers or pets will be allowed on the course.

After the race, we invite everyone to join us for food, entertainment & fun for the whole family, including bounce houses & outdoor games. All proceeds from this event will be used to support our brand new South Beach Church building that we're in the process of constructing on the site! If you would like to also make a separate donation to our Building Fund, there will be an option to do so in the registration or on our website at www.southbeachchurch.org/giving.
