You are invited to the Fourth Annual Rockin' Run and Roll for a Rockin' Good Time!
This inclusive event is open to all with the goal of getting people from all ages and ability levels to participate and have fun. The flat, fast 3.1 mile race is well marked with water stations along the route. This is a recreational running event for runners and walkers of all abilities. This event will be held on Saturday,
January 15th March 26 and commence at 8:00am. The race will take place on the grounds of the Morgan Family Community Center, Butler Park, and Heron Creek Middle School. The course will be coned off through the parking lots and roadways of the center and park. Runners will begin arriving on location approximately one and a half hours prior to the start of the race. Registration and post-race ceremonies will take place at the Morgan Family Community Center and adjacent open spaces.
Virtual 5k: Want to run/walk/jog the 5k on your own time wherever you like? Check out our virtual 5k option. For participating you will receive a participation medal and a Rockin' 5k shirt. Please submit your time between Friday March 25th and Sunday March 27th. Virtual participants will not qualify for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals from the age categories awards ceremony.
Race packet bags, shirts & participation medals guaranteed for the first 200 combined entrants from both virtual and in-person 5k's.
Entry Fee (in-person and Virtual): Pre-Registration prior to 12/14, $20; 12/14-1/14, $25; 1/15-Race Day $30.
A portion of the proceeds help fund the Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship Program, providing youth age 17 years and under from income eligible families with exposure to positive recreation experiences that promote physical, mental and social well-being
Packet Pick up(in-person 5k): Participants pre-registered before Tue., 3/22 can pick up race packets at the Morgan Family Community Center on Thu.,3/24 and Fri., 3/25, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Awards Ceremony(in-person 5k): Awards will be presented immediately following the race to the top male finisher and top female finisher in the following categories; Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans. Age group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Largest team award will be given to the team/organization with the most participants registered.
