Run for Chris with the Y

In partnership with the Valley Shore YMCA, this is a terrific, family-friendly 5K run (plus kids' fun run & 2 mile walk) in the village of historic Essex, Ct. While challenging (some hills…we’ve got our own version of “Heartbreak Hill!”), the course rewards you with many scenic views, including glimpses of the Connecticut River.  This really is a great event for the whole family (plus, the hills make for some fun, post-race commentary, boasting and banter)!   The race benefits The Chris Belfoure Memorial Fund at Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC), to integrate multicultural and foreign language programs into the schools of the Lower Valley Of Middlesex County.
