Run! Run! Rudolph! - Morgantown

Run Run Rudolph is taking a new change in direction! Have no worries though! We Misfits are still landing on Misfit Island with good ole Santy Claus and Rudolph leading the way! Grab your ugliest sweater, brightest nose, and/or flashiest lights and come out for our first annual We Run Morgantown 5k Run/Walk for a clause!

When: 5k: Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 9:30 AM

Kid's 12 & Under mile: 10:15 AM

Location: Terra Café with an out and back course on the wonderful wintery wonderland trail of the Mon River Trail. 

Parking: There is a parking lot below Terra Café that is accessible via Leeway St that runs parallel to Sheetz in Star City. Avoid parking in Terra Cafe's lot to avoid congestion to their business. There is a paved trail that goes from the parking lot below straight to the starting line!

Shirts/Packet: Participants will receive an official long/short sleeve race shirt*** and free hot chocolate will be provided after with a stick of candy cane! 

Cost: $25 until December 14, $30 day of race**** from 7:30am-9:15am

***Card preferred for Square to limit cash handling

Packet Pick up: Day of Race at Terra Café’ from 7:30am-9:15am  

***Participants must register by 11/26/2022 to guarantee a race shirt.

Awards: There will be awards for the ugliest sweater and best dressed Santa/Mrs. Clause

Scholarship: Proceeds from the race will be placed in a We Run! Scholarship fund that will go to one lucky young runner. To apply for the scholarship participants must be a senior in the Morgantown area schools and submit a photo with an essay describing themselves, their goals, what they plan on doing after high school, their best race photo, and how the scholarship would benefit them. Send your applications to [email protected] by race day! An applicant will be selected by a voting process in We Run! Morgantown and will let the winner know by email.

Proceeds from the race will be placed in a We Run! Scholarship fund that will go to one lucky senior track/cross country runner in the Morgantown Area. To apply for the scholarship participants must submit a photo and an essay describing themselves, their goals, and how the scholarship would benefit them.
