Run To Read Half Marathon

** RACE HAS BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY, JANUARY 7th **. Double out and back on 2 rail trails. The first trail, about 5 miles long, is paved & goes through the historic & restored Meredith Tunnel. The second trail is on crushed limestone & has a scenic view of the Monongahela River. The USATF certified course is ideal for a "pr". Long sleeve tech shirts & Finisher medals to the first 400 finishers/registrants. USATF sanctioned event. Hour long videos from the 2009 race & the 2013 race are on You Tube. Race news is posted on Facebook. Awards presented as runners finish. Lots of post-race food. Second year for 1pm start time. USATF sanctioned event. First race in MCPARC race series. Event benefits Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (LVMC), a United Way agency & a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity. LVMC facilitates free one on one tutoring in a friendly, confidential setting. Tutoring is provided for both adults and children in reading, math & english as a second language (ESL).
