Run To Read Half Marathon

Double out and back on 2 rail trails. The first section is about 5 miles long, is paved & goes through the historic & restored Meredith Tunnel. The second trail is on crushed limestone & has a scenic view of the Monongahela River. The USATF certified course is ideal for a PR! Long sleeve tech shirts & Finisher medals for PRE-REGISTERED finishers/registrants.  A very limited number of shirts and finisher medals will be available for same-day registration, so please pre-register online or via mail. 

USATF sanctioned event. Hour long videos from the 2009 race & the 2013 race are on You Tube. Race news is posted on Facebook. Awards presented as runners finish. Lots of post-race food. Second year for 1pm start time. USATF sanctioned event. First race in MCPARC race series. Chip timing by Miles of Smiles Timing Services. Results will be posted on smileymiles.com.

Event benefits Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (LVMC), a United Way agency & a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity. LVMC facilitates free one on one tutoring in a friendly, confidential setting. Tutoring is provided for both adults and children in reading, math & English as a second language (ESL).
