Signing up for one of our run/walk events won’t break the bank. Our low-cost races are cozy and intimate, where you have a chance to get to know your fellow runner and your race director if you like. If you don’t want to chat or make new friends but prefer to put in your earbuds and get lost in the ocean breeze, that is totally fine as well.
We will take care of you. Let us worry about the water and fuel you need to finish your distance so you can do you. You decide what feels right for you that day.
You have the flexibility to sign up for any of at least four different distances at every one of our friendly gatherings. No hassle, no penalty fee involved if you want to change to a shorter distance on race day. Small events mean not having to get to the event hours before the start or sitting in a line of cars forever to get out of the parking lot.

We will track you and let you know when you are close to qualifying for the 10 events and 15-event specials. Your job is to work on your fitness and enjoy the ride, leave the spreadsheets to us.
Our courses are not closed, which means that there are often other runners, walkers and others enjoying the day along with you. For this reason, we need you to wear your bib on your front, in a visible place. Our photographers will only take pictures of those who are wearing bibs. Also, please be courteous to those we share the roads and trails with. Do not spread out wide (3 or more people walking or running next to each other) or you will make it hard for others to pass you.
Running/walking with a stroller is most definitely encouraged but unfortunately, the lawyers and insurance agents wont allow you to bring your pets on the run, even if they are well behaved, start at the back and are on a short, non-extendable, leash.
The time limit for all distances is 3 hours and 15 minutes. This is so that our staff and volunteers can have a set time when they know they will be done. We don't want to leave you out on the course alone... but we will if we have to and can leave your medal by the finish line. If you think you need more than the 3 hours and 15 minutes, you can email us at [email protected] and we can let you know if an early start is possible.
Everyone at our events will get a bib, a finishers medal (the ribbon will note what distance you completed) free photos, an official time and food and drink. One of the ways we keep costs down is by not doing shirts.
Results and photos will be posted on this site within 24 hours or less after the completion of the event.
Photos will be tagged and searchable by bib number so please wear your bib on your front in a way that it will be captured by our photographers.
Sorry but there are NO REFUNDS but we do offer deferrals until 48 hours before the event and you can transfer your entry to another person for a $15 fee.
Bib pick up starts at 7:00 AM at a table next to the start/finish line.
All events start together at 7:30 AM

There will be a table adjacent to the start line where you will check in, sign a waiver, and be given a bib. Not all GPS directions are created equal and we have been told that Apple Maps doesn't always get you to the right spot so stick with Waze.
There are a lot of free parking spots a short walk away. The parking lot next to our start line is managed by the city and you should pay one of their parking machines before the race so as not to risk getting a ticket.

Parking - There are meters on all of the nearby streets, many of them do not need to be paid until 9am but some streets have street sweeping from 7 am to 9 am. Santa Monica is known for strict parking enforcement and large tickets! Please don’t add a ticket to the cost of your race. Make sure that after 9 AM your meter is paid with quarters, or credit cards. Also – read the signs to make sure you are not parked on a street-sweeping block. The lot at the beach, adjacent to the start/finish, is a pay lot. You can pay at the entrance booth or if no one is there, then pay at one of the machines. Beach lot pricing is about $10 but does vary depending on the time of year. We do not plan to update this or other event pages with the current pricing at the beach lot (sorry).
