Running for Azul

Race Timers is a family owned and operated business by Omar and Natalia Ortega. In June 2021, one of their four children, Azul, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), the most common form of pediatric leukemia in the United States. Azul is a 12, almost 13 year old girl, who loved running and being active before her diagnosis. We are looking forward to her running and competing in races once she finishes treatment, which is a minimum of two years.

Please join us to RUN FOR AZUL and help raise funds to cover costs for Azul’s medical treatment and expenses. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a local non-profit organization that supports children with cancer. Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels provides ComfyCozies, an adaptive apparel line for cancer patients that allows nurses and doctors to access their port while allowing them to remain covered. Azul set a goal to send a Comfycozy Care Pack to at least 23 cancer warriors in honor of her birthday, April 23rd. Each care pack costs $35 and includes a Comfycozy’s for Chemo apparel item and a Mindfulness Kit full of activities.
