Santa 5K Run/Walk for Hunger & Official NC Bigfoot Christmas Reunion

COURSE - A 3.1 mile course that loops through and around the beautiful West Rowan area. For competitive and recreational runners. Walkers welcomed.

All proceeds go to Rowan Helping Ministries - a not-for-profit volunteer-based corporation which operates human service programs to assist the economically disadvantaged.

*Canned goods will be collected at the race.  Donated food will be dispersed by Rowan Helping Ministries after the race.

Race Day Registration & Check-In:  7:30 a.m.
5K:  9:00 a.m.
Fun Run:  9:45 a.m.

Registration & Check-In will be at the Millbridge Ruritan Building - 490 Sloan Rd., Mt. Ulla, NC  28125

AWARDS - Immediately following the race:  5K Top 3 Male and Female participants in each age division. Top 3 Overall Male and Female.  Overall Masters Male and Female.

1/2 Mile Fun-Run Top 3 Male and Female ages 12 and under.

AGE GROUPS 5K 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.

1/2 Mile Fun Run 12 & under

SHIRTS - The first 150 5K participants will receive a long-sleeve technical t-shirt.  See t-shirt picture below - our most popular design from the past is back!

DIRECTIONS - The Millbridge Ruritan Building is on Sloan Road, just off Highway 150 midway between Salisbury and Mooresville.  Just follow the signs for Sloan Park near the Millbridge Community crossroads.  Turn left on Sloan coming from Mooresville and right on Sloan coming from Salisbury.  The Ruritan Building is on the right less than a half mile from Hwy. 150, and is directly across from Sloan Park.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions: (Following Covid-19 NC guidelines)

-       The race will have two starts. Male runners will start at 9:00 a.m. and female runners will start at 9:10 a.m. 

-       Runners need to make sure to keep distance during the start and finish and when passing other runners as well. 

-       Please do not congregate at the start and finish.  

-       All participants, volunteers, and spectators are expected to follow social distancing rules, keeping at least 6 feet of distance from other people other than members of their family.

-       Masks should be worn when not running if you are unable to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance before or after your race.  Masks are required at all times while in the Ruritan building.

-       If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, have a pending COVID test or positive test in the last 14 days, have experienced symptoms related to COVID-19 (sore throat, fever, lost of taste/smell, shortness of breath) or are in quarantine for COVID-19 then you cannot attend or run in the race.
