Scranton 4 Ukraine

Please join us as we mark one-year anniversary of the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. 

Scranton 4 Ukraine Association presents our inaugural Run 4 Ukraine 2 Miler that will be held at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. This will be a unique out-and-back distance race on a familiar 5k course that will present a challenge to runners of all experience levels.

When: Saturday, February 25, 2023

Where: Lackawanna River Heritage Trail
             Scranton Half Marathon Pavilion
             3 Olive St - Scranton, PA 18510

Race Day Registration: 9:30am – 10:45am

Race Start: 11:00am

Cost: $20 for anyone who pre-registers by February 21. Price increases to $25 on race day.

Awards:  The 1st Overall Male and 1st Overall Female will receive a Trophy. Top 3 male and female finishers in each age group  will receive a Medal.

Age Groups:  Under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Shirts: Guaranteed to all registered by February 3, 2022. We have ordered extra shirts which are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Packet Pickup: Pickup for pre-registered participants will be held during registration period on race day from 9:30am to 10:45am. Early pickup will also be available on Friday, February 24, from 4pm to 6pm at the Scranton 1/2 Marathon Pavilion on Olive St (same as location of event.) Please make sure to pick up your shirt, even if you are not able to participate. There will be no mailing of shirts.

Beneficiary: International Rescue Committee - Ukraine Relief

Weather: Race will be held snow, sleet, rain or shine. We will monitor the course for ice.

Timing: Race will be timed by Finish Strong Race Timing, LLC.

Scranton 4 Ukraine Association is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation federally recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We were incorporated in March, 2022, for the purpose of raising awareness of and funds for Ukrainian refugees.
