RACE COURSE:

Saturday's Half- Beautiful out & back "T" course through Cape Henlopen State Park ...Lewes Main Beach-to Lewes-To Rehoboth-to Lewes Main Beach.Sunday's 5k- Grove Park course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth  1 mile Fright Walk will start with the 5k and do a 1 mile loop from Henlopen Ave to Columbia Ave finishing inside the Grove Park

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

 COURSE CUT-OFF TIMES FOR HALF-MARATHON ONLY:

At the 11:15 am start to the Awards Ceremony, there still may be folks on the course as the cutoff is 3:16:30 or an average of 15 min/per mile Here are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off. 1m- 15:002m- 30:003m- 45:004m- 1:00:005m- 1:15:00 (check point)6m- 1:30:007m- 1:45:008m- 2:00:009m- 2:15:0010m- 2:30:0011m- 2:45:0012m- 3:00:0013m- 3:15:00 The 5m mark on the return is only 1 mile from the start and the finish so we ask that you be at the 5m split by 1:15:00 (15:00/per mile).  If you are over the 1:15:00 time at 5 miles we ask that you stop and walk back to the start/finish as you did not make the cut-off.   We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 15 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner.    Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

Saturday's Half- Plenty of parking at the State Park in the main beach lotSunday's 5k & 1m walk- Grove Park, Henlopen Ave, Rehoboth Ave.

 

 

AWARDS:  

Half-Marathon Classic Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 8 age groups:1/2m...19 & U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ 5k Classic Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 16 age groups:5k...9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+  1m Fright Walk...this is a non-competitive 1 mile walk with no awards Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact [email protected] to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
