Snow Globe Run

Race Location

Whether you run, walk, or just stand and cheer, you are invited to participate in the Snow Globe Run on Saturday, December 11, 2021, on Campbell Creek Trail behind the Peanut Farm restaurant at 11:00 AM.

There will be an Alaska Zoo animal themed costume contest beginning at 10:15 AM, inside the Peanut Farm, pre-race by the stage, for those wanting to dress in costume. Prizes will be given for best Child (12 and under), Male, Female, and Group costumes.  The Peanut Farm is donating gift cards for the costume contest winners.  First prize in each category will receive a $40.00 gift card, second place will receive a $25.00 gift card, and third place will receive a $15.00 gift card.  Best Group costume will receive a $50.00 gift card.

Due to insurance requirements, dogs are not allowed at this event, and we ask that you leave them at home. Due to anticipated snow on the course strollers are discouraged, but if you decide to participate with a stroller, we ask that you start in the back.

Race Partner

The Anchorage Running Club is partnering with the Alaska Zoo for this race.  A portion of the race fee proceeds, as well as all online donations will be donated to the Alaska Zoo.  Your race bib is your passport to the Alaska Zoo on race day for free admission to visit your favorite animals.

Course Information

The course start, and finish line is on the trail, and accessible via the Peanut Farm overflow parking lot, to the south of the former Sourdough Mining Company. The course is a 4K out and back along the Campbell Creek Trail south for 2K and turns around. This is a flat, scenic course along Campbell Creek. There will be an aid station serving hot Gatorade at 1.2K and 2.8K, manned by our friends at The Movement Clinic.

Bib Pickup

Bib pickup will be on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, from 4:30 - 6:30 @ The Movement Clinic, 4007 Old Seward Hwy, Suite 100, Anchorage, Alaska 99503

Last minute bib pick up and registration is also available on the morning of the race from 10:00-10:45 am at the Peanut Farm.

Late registration fees are in effect for runners registering after 11:59 PM, December 9, 2021.

Sleeping Lady Challenge

The Snow Globe is a Sleeping Lady Challenge event, and the final race to earn your Sleeping Lady Challenge medal.
