Every day, 43 children will be diagnosed with cancer. Eli's Block Party Childhood Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in North Alabama. We started these races last year when, due to the pandemic, we had to cancel our annual "Superhero Fun Day" fund-raiser, held in September which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Superhero Fun Day is back, but we were so thrilled by the success of our Virtual Ribbon Races, that we decided to add them to our annual activities. We hope you join Captain Hope and help us to continue to raise much needed funds for childhood cancer research. Our Superhero 43 Ribbon Races have two options this year. If you are a hard-core runner/walker, we challenge you to do 43 miles over the Labor Day Weekend (from Friday to Monday). For the rest of us, the challenge is to run or walk 43 miles total over the whole month, just a little over a mile a day! Whichever race you choose, you also have the option to raise additional funds for our Cancer Foundation. All race proceeds and donations go to doctors and labs, particularly those researching innovative treatments for childhood brain cancer.
