50K Individual and 2-Person / 4-Person Relay.
Entry includes entry fee to the Pollyanna Brewing Octoberfest, Two Beer Tickets and a Food Ticket for the Fest.
Race Venue = The Forge: Lemont Quarries
Each Individual and Team starts at ~ 8:00 AM. Must finish by 4:00 PM.
2 Unique Run Courses (Course Maps will Be Uploaded Once they Are Set).
General Course Description:
Utilizing the trails within the Forge and adjoining Heritage Quarries Recreation Area (HQRA), the course will include mixed terrain, mostly crushed limestone, with some single track, MTB trails, and mulch covered segments. The trails are mostly flat with some technical sections, and a few wooden bridge crossings.
The race will utilize two different courses, run in segments by individual or relay team members.
Total Course Length = ~ 50K / 32 Miles in 8 segments, 4 of each course by an individual or team.
Individuals: Run Course 1 x 4, Then Run Course 2 x 4 for a total of eight segments.
4 Member Teams: Each Runner Runs Course 1 x 1, then Each Runner Runs Course 2 x 1
2 Member Team: Each Runner Runs Course 1 x 2 (alternating runner for each segment), Then Runs Course 2 x 2 (alternating runner for each segment).
Individuals and Each Team Member must pass through the relay exchange area after each segments. At this point individuals will continue with their next segment, team members will exchange to the next team member to run their segment.
Throughout the day and at the end of the race the Pollyanna Brewing Octoberfest / Craft Beer Fest will be held, including entertainment on the stage. Entry to the race includes entry to the Fest, and two free beers and food. Additional food and beverage may be purchased.
Teams may set up tents and hang out in the Park throughout the day at a TBD location.
If an individual or Team does not finish by 4:00 PM, they DNF, but still get to go to the fest :-)

The exchange area will also serve as an aid station. Runners must carry their carry their own hydration and fuel.
