The Most Fun 5K Around

Come join a really fun crew for the Second Annual 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT Presented by Scuba Quest on Saturday, February 18, 2023.  Have a blast on a professionally chip-timed, flat, out-and-back course 5K course that travels through a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Feel free to run the .5K FUN RUN as well, or stay and listen to music while you enjoy your coffee, donut and other breakfast items!

Costumes encouraged, the crazier the better.

Saturday February 18, 2023 

8:00 am start for 5K,8:30 am start for .5K (rolling start every 10 minutes)

Location: Lakeview Elementary School, 7299 Proctor Rd in Sarasota through Bent Tree Woodlands II

Parking and bathrooms at the Sarasota Baptist Church across the street.  Port a Potties available at Lakeview.

This is an In-Person Run/Jog/Walk - THIS RACE WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE...in the case of lightning or unsafe conditions, there may be a slight delay. 

Other things to know

Strollers and dogs are welcome. 1 water stop halfway through the course.EMS will be on site at the school campus.

● Awesome Race Shirt - this is a lightweight,100% cotton, soft spun fitted shirt.  If you are unsure, order a size up.  (We are starting to run low on shirt  inventories.  But don't worry - if you are unable to get your shirt size, just head to Award Exchange Table after the race.  We have extra swag that you can pick from!)  
● Special Finisher Medal
● Chip Timing
● Award Levels- 6 deep in 17 age categories, Overall awards including male and female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters and Veteran Grand Masters + Best Costume,  First, Second and Third win a certificate and a lemon verbena aromatherapy candle, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth place win a ribbon.
● Child Care while you run, in the Kid-Zone

***We are making every effort to make this a NO WASTE RACE.  If you don't like your award or the shirt doesn't fit, you are welcome to exchange it for something else after the race.  (Look for the Award Exchange table in the after party village.)

You can take a picture with your medal and then turn it back in, and we will reuse it next year.  At our sponsorship table, take only what you like: coupons, bags and any other giveaways.***  

No refunds, all registrations are donations to keep growing YL in the Sarasota Community

 *Packet Pick Up* will by held on Friday February 17th from 4pm to 7pm at New Balance of Sarasota located at 

1872 Stickney Point, Sarasota, by the South Bridge of Siesta Key (NOT at the New Balance near UTC)

Yes you can pick up a packet for someone else while you are there. You can also pick up your packet on the morning of the race.

Registration will be available on race day up from 6:30am until 7:30am. 

Awards will be available for three weeks at New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Rd, after the event, if you are unable to stay for the ceremony.
