About the event
At the Nieuwpoort Swim, you can join an international field of participants to compete in one of the only open water swimming competitions in Belgium. Starting at the Old Fish Market, the 1.9km or 3.8km long course takes you to the entrance of the largest marina in Northern Europe. Swimming in calm water due to the protection of the channel, spectators are welcome to join in on the journey and cheer you on. The finish line is on the Long Course Weekend festival grounds, in the shadow of the West Front Monument, providing a memorable experience for all.
