We have moved the date of this event to July 31, 2022.
THE ROCK RUN
3.1 miles of friendly high school rivalry.
Be true to your school, just like you would to your girl.
We’ve set this race up for some good high school rivalry.
We've moved the race date to better fit schedules and we've altered the course.
The new RockRun course will be an out-and-back from the original Council Rock High School, now known as Council Rock North. The course will feature olympic style start and finish, on the track at Walt Snyder Stadium, hopefully with stadium sound (music and announcers) going.

In addition to the normal age group and overall awards, runBUCKS scores the teams cross country style. Your place is your score. Combine the times for (5) members of the same alumni team and the lowest score wins. Team scores are based on 5 finishers, at least two women per scoring team. Single gender schools may partner with Brother-Sister schools. There is a perpetual trophy. The winning team’s school(s) name(s) will be engraved along with the year. Your team will have possession of the trophy for one month, during which time you may paint the ROCK to represent your win. The trophy will then be on display at the Green Parrot for the remainder of the year.
To participate you don’t need to have run for your team in high school. Whichever high school you attended you represent in The Rock Run Alumni Team Challenge. Just declare your school during the online registration process.
Race Day packet pick-up will be near the finish line at Council Rock North High School. There will be advanced packet pick-up, location will be to-be-announced.
The event will help fund the launch of a new, local youth summer running program.
And, oh yeah, many of us gather at the Green Parrot after the awards ceremony to trash talk, relive glory days, buy each other drinks and catch up with people you might not have seen on a long time.
Dust off your yearbooks. Start making calls. You still have time to train. Help make it happen.
We will continue to score the Alumni Team competition (Original Council Rock <our defending champions> Council Rock North or Council Rock South) The team score is combined places of the top three men and top two women from each school as a team, You need not have participated in the running programs while in school to be a scoring team member. The winning team’s name will be added to the perpetual RockRun team trophy, displayed at the Green Parrot in Newtown, PA. The defending team members from Council Rock have requested the right to paint the trophy Rock (not the rock at North). We are considering this right to be established this year.
With any profits from this year’s event, we will help fund YoungBUCKS, a new youth running program hoping to establish in Bucks County whenever COVID restrictions allow headed by Lisa (Heffner ‘83) Kuliczkowski and PJ Zimmerman ‘96. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
