The WILD is a multi-day celebration of trail and mountain running from 8 to 10 December 2023 centred around NZ's trail mecca, Arrowtown.

The V5000 is the flagship event for 2023 - a brutally beautiful 86km with 5,000m of ascent and a true backcountry adventure for the diehard ultra mountain runners. Qualifying criteria applies.

Other trail run events include; 64km on the new Coronet Loop Track, 30km on flowing single track, with beech forest, open ridges and gorgeous valley running; plus 11km or 9km mountain runs.

Pre-event festivities and expo start on the Wednesday evening before the runs. Refer to event website for full schedule.

The WILD is organised by the Wild For Nature Trust, established by Kiwi trail runners passionate about protecting the environment we all love to run in.

Stunning views from Coronet Peak, Mt Dewer, travel in to the historic gold mining centres of Skippers and Macetown. Summit some of the areas highest peaks Vanguard and Advance with views out to the Harris Mountains, travel along some of the renowned scenic rivers Shotover and Arrow.
