Two Rivers Marathon is one of the most scenic marathons in The Netherlands. The course winds along the beautiful rivers Maas and Waal with start and finish in the pittoresque medieval center of the city of Zaltbommel. Braai and beer afterwards are famous.

Wouter Decock outpaced more then 370 runners to win in 02:37:49. He bested Joris Spigt who crossed the finish line 9 minutes 11 secondes behind him. Finishing third was Stijn Smulders (02:48:31).
In the women’s race, Janicke Brathe took top spot in 03:17:53 . She finished une minute 11 secondes ahead of Debby Gabriels. While Karin Verheijden came in third at 03:26:59
