About the event
The race derives its name from Kashubia - a region in the north-west of Poland, where the Kashubian language is widely spoken. Gdansk, the city with over a millennium of history, is the historical capital of the region. The second part of the name, "poniewierka", is hard to translate but generally refers to an exhausting journey or wander without any specific goal. The course begins in the well-known holiday resort of Sopot and takes runners through forests with rolling hills towards the Kashubian Lakes District. Participants can gain from 1 to 5 ITRA points during the race.
