This race benefits the United Way of Franklin County and it's 18 agencies. The United Way Kickoff 5K is the 11th race for the 2019 Frankfort Striders Series.

The race starts at Ward Oates Amphitheatre. Packet pickup will be 5:00-6:00 at the Amphitheatre on race day. Runners will run north along the trail by the river from Ward Oates Amphitheatre to Southern States turn-around and back.

The United Way Kickoff 5K also serves as the Kentucky Senior Games 5K. Go to http://kentuckyseniorgames.com to register for the Kentucky Senior Games which includes over 20 different sporting events including cross country and a 10K road race for the low price of $45.00. The Kentucky Senior Games are for those age 40 & over.
