Wapack and Back Trail Races

The 50 mile race runs the length of the Wapack trail from south to north, then returning south. At this point, the runners have gone 43 miles. There is then a seven mile out-and-back on the trail, to fill out the 50 mile distance. The southern terminus is at the Mt. Watatic trailhead on Rt 119 in Ashburnham, MA. The northern terminus is on Mountain Road in Greenfield, NH.

The race starts at the trailhead on Mountain Road. Runners meet at the Mt. Watatic trailhead in Ashburnham, to check in and board a bus to the start in Greenfield. The bus leaves Ashburnham for Greenfield at 8:00am. All runners must be on the bus by that time. The race will start as soon as everyone is offloaded from the bus in Greenfield.
