BearTrax and Brownie Shuffle

The BearTrax and Brownie Shuffle was started in 2009 as a way to honor a dear friend, Nancy Sellars, who was killed by a drunk driver while riding her bike. The race not only brought people to the trails she loved at Lapham Peak, but also raised money for a fund established in her name. For the last couple of years, the fund has established scholarships for local high school seniors who demonstrate a passion and prowess for both academics and silent sports (running, cycling, triathlon, nordic skiing, snowshoeing and more). Course Description:
All events will be run within Lapham Peak State Park. The 20K starts at 9:30am and will be run on a mixture of wide, well-groomed ski trails and the single-track Ice Age Trail. The Brownie Shuffle 10K and 5K will begin at 10am and will be run on the ski trails.

Lapham Peak State Park is less than a mile south of I-94 on Highway C in Delafield. It's about 30 minutes west of Milwaukee and 45 minutes east of Madison. Parking will be available near the start/finish area but is limited; carpooling is encouraged. All cars will need a state park sticker for entry. One-day passes can be purchased at the entrance. Allow for extra time if you will need to purchase entrance on race day.

Extra Details:
Participants who register by March 31, 2020, are guaranteed a commemorative shirt. Those who sign up after the deadline are not guaranteed a shirt but will receive one as long as supplies last or will be offered a shirt from a previous race.

A free pair of Saucony shoes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners of all three races. Age group awards will also be distributed to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
