Believe in Heroes Memorial Day Run

L.I.V.E. Inc., (Los Lunas Invested in Veteran Events) is proud to present the 7th annual Believe in Heroes Memorial Day Run.
Our past events have raised over $80,000 for veterans. Our focus is to help veterans in our community and veteran organizations in need such as the VFW, Blue Star Mothers, Military Order of the Purple Heart, WWP and American Legion to name a few. On Veteran’s Day, LIVE hosts this event that honors Valencia County veterans. The event is well attended and LIVE will continue to support these types of events in the future.

Where: 
The event begins at the Los Lunas Star Light Theater parking lot located at 2226 Sun Ranch Village Loop SW, Los Lunas, NM 87031. This spacious area allows the runners and spectators a spectacular view of both the El Cerro de Los Lunas and Monzano mountains. The courses are controlled by police, military and civilian
volunteers.

Course Information:
10k course 7:30 am. The total elevation gain is 164 ft. to the highest point above Los Lunas. The course circulates through the Huning Ranch neighborhood, past Sundance Elementary School, onto a crushed gravel path into the Jubilee Active Adult Community and then back East through Huning Ranch ending at the Star Light Theater.

5k course: 8:30 am
The total elevation gain is 85 ft. The course loops through the Huning Ranch neighborhood. This is a fast course finishing back at the Star Light Theater. Rucksack participants will run/walk with a backpack
weighing a minimum of 35 lbs.

Kids K 9:30 am
This fun children’s event takes place right in front of the Starlight Theater.

Packet Pick Up:
Friday, May 25th 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at Los Lunas Village Hall, 660 Main St. NW, Los Lunas, NM 87031 Saturday, May 26th (Race Day) 6:30 am to 7:30 am at event.

Post Race:
Refreshments; water/sports drinks/fruit will be available for participants. Awards will be presented to the male and female top three finishers of each age group. Awards: 17 under; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+, Rucksack: Top 3 awarded.
