About Brady's Bridge

During Brady's stay in the NICU, family and friends put together a benefit to help us financially. "Team Brady" came together and joined us in the fight for his life. We proudly wore our Team Brady t-shirts to every surgery for Brady.

In December of 2011, we were in the hospital with Brady from Dec. 2nd until Dec. 24th. During that stay at Dell Children's Hospital, we realized it was in both of our hearts to help the other families in the hospital.

In 2012, we collected donations and were able to deliver 56 Christmas trees, that would fit on a nightstand, to the kids at Dell Children's Hospital during the holidays. Although we knew we wanted this tradition to continue, we wanted to do more.

After re-visiting our journey, we realized some of our biggest challenges when you have a child that is premature and/or has special needs. The first challenge was paying all the medical bills. Our insurance maxed out and we did not qualify for medicaid, so what were we supposed to do? The second challenge, once we were able to stay away from the hospital, was finding child care for a kid with special needs that was affordable and trustworthy.

We want to help families with resources and let them know we care about what they are going through. Thank you for being a part of caring for these families!
