Charity 5k Splash N' Dash

The Charity 5k run/walk is an event that’s sole purpose is to raise money for charity. This event is ran by Liberty Union’s Student Council and Interact Club with the assistance of student volunteers.  The theme of this years 5k will be called, “Splash N’ Dash”. It will be held at the Liberty Union Middle School. This 5k will include water balloons and squirt guns at each of the mile markers. (You will get wet!)  At the finish line there will be people taking times for the racers as they cross. (Times will be taken  but it is not a competitive race) Official Times will be posted online 1 day after May 26. Awards and prizes will NOT be given out, as our goal is to raise money in a fun way,but there will be a raffle to help support our Liberty Union athletics .The first 100 people who sign up receive a t-shirt,yet if you would like you may buy a shirt at the race.(Limited sizes, on a first come service)  There will be two races, which includes the kids 10 and under 800 meter Fun run and the main event, which is 3.10 miles for adults and kids 10 and up with adult supervision. We will also have tables at the end of the races near the finish line with water and an arrangement of assorted fruits for free. All proceeds made from Ticket sales and Tshirt sales will be going to the The American Red Cross.
