Freeze Your Fanny 5K/10K

We hope that you will join us for the 3rd annual Freeze Your Fanny 5K/10K at the lovely Sharon Woods Metro Park.  This race is for anyone looking for a fun, fitness, food while meeting new friends and seeing new places. It is also a great race to help enjoy all the holiday events and food with a little less guilt (and pounds).    Runners and walkers will have their choice of a 10K or 5K distance. 

When:  Saturday, December 14th @ 10am

Where:  Sharon Woods Metro Park located at 6911 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville Ohio.

Packet Pick-Up:  Packet pick-up will be made available on race day only at the race site starting at 8:30am - 9:45am.  

Swag:  All racers receive a colorful race sweatshirt, a custom race mug along with finish line hot chocolate & snacks.

Timing:  Your bib will contain a timing chip on the back.  Please wear your bib on the outer most layer of your clothing for accurate reads of your finish time. 

Awards:  Personalized plaques customized with the name of the winners will be available upon request.  Winners in the following divisions in both the 5K & 10K (RUNNERS) will be eligible for an award:  15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.  The top 3 WALKERS in the 5K and 10K will also be eligible for an award.   Winners should contact [email protected] by 12/12 if they would like their award.  Upon production, each award will be mailed to the respective winners.

Post Race:  Post race food & drink (including hot chocolate) will be available at the finish line.

Dogs:  Dogs on leashes are welcome at the race

Restrooms:  Restrooms will be available at the start & finish line only.  Due to the short distances, no restrooms will be available on the course. 

Water Stations:  Water stations with water and Gatorade will be available on the course. 

Running Surface:  The course is 100% paved course. 

About Venue:  Sharon Woods is a mixture of forests and fields with towering oak, hickory and beech trees and an 11-acre lake. Tucked inside the 761-acre park is the Edward Thomas Nature Preserve, named for the renowned Ohio naturalist and one of the founders of the park system.
