Welcome to our 28th Annual Great Pumpkin Classic 5K Run - 2 Mile Walk & Kids Fun Runs. The run, walk & kids committees, sponsors and volunteers truly appreciate you being here with us. You will be helping to add to our proceeds which have totaled over $300,000 since our start in 1991. Our charities include the Trumbull High School Scholarship Foundation, Trumbull Chamber of Commerce, Trumbull Community Women, and Trumbull PTSA. The 5K and 2mi walk start & finish at Trumbull High School. The kids runs take place on the HS track. The Great Pumpkin Classic is well known for its long sleeve dri-fit t-shirts, terrific food & fluids, We distribute over 60 awards in the 5k covering 10 age groups & the overall M & F champions.

We are happy to welcome you to our 24th Great Pumpkin 5k Run. It's a terrific event and was rated in the top 50 running events in New England for many years. Many famous runners have graced our course including Olympic Marathon qualifiers and Bill Rogers. It's a race founded by a runner, Marty Schaivone, who also taught Biology at Trumbull High for 35 years. We pride ourselves on high quality well designed T-shirts, terrific food, plenty of fluids & lots of fun. Our THS Choir has performed at the opening ceremony at the start while many students & faculty will be running & volunteering. We will appreciate your feedback after the race- let us know where we can improve :-)
