Heart of Virginia Festival 10K Run & 5k Walk

**  Please note that both events have separate start locations and common finish line at First Avenue Field. Please plan your day accordingly.

10K Race Description:
The 10K begins at Hampden Sydney College, near the intersection of College Road and Via Sacra, and follows a mostly downhill, fast course along Back Hampden Sydney Road to the finish at First Avenue Field in Farmville, Virginia. Timing and scoring of the 10K run will be provided. Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall male & female finishers and top finishers in each age category that participated in the 10K. Categories for men and women include: 18 & under, 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 & over.

5K Walk Description:
The 5K begins at the intersection of Back Hampden Sydney Rd. and Restful Acres Lane. From there the course will follow Back Hampden Sydney Road to the finish at First Avenue Field.

Shuttle Service:
Transportation will only be available to the 10K & 5K start lines from 7:00-8:00 AM. You may leave your car at the finish line (First Ave Field). The Shuttle Stop will be at the finish line (First Avenue Field).

Registration/Packet Pickup:
All race day registrants must register at the finish line (First Avenue Field) before being shuttled to their start line. Registration forms/packets will not be available at the start lines

Friday May 4th, 8am - 6pm, Firemen's Sports Arena (1328 Zion HIll Rd., Farmville, VAl  ||  Saturday May 5th (RACE DAY) First Avenue Field 7am - 8am

T-Shirts:  Guaranteed to the first 150 registered participants.

Awards:
10K Overall Top 3 M/F, 10K Age Groups Top 3 M/F 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up ||  5k Walk is non-competitive, time will be recorded for walkers.
