Proudly presented by The Puerto Rico Tourism Company, La Épica Gravel Grinder® was designed to attract gravel cyclists from all corners of the globe, offering a stunning route that showcases the rugged beauty of Puerto Rico’s diverse terrain. From the rolling hills to the coastal plains and the unique gravel roads of southern Puerto Rico, you will experience an unforgettable challenge surrounded by the tropical allure of the Caribbean.

We’ve carefully chosen the early march date to provide an ideal cycling getaway for cyclists who are wrapping up their winter offering a perfect opportunity to start your riding season logging in plenty of kilometers in warm, sunny weather.  We’ve crafted an event that will test your endurance while highlighting the best of Puerto Rico’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture. Whether you chose to compete in the two day “Grinder” main event or just come to ride one of the three daily events, this will be an adventure through one of the most beautiful regions in the Caribbean.  

Friday’s Gravel “Crit” will be an exhibition 5k Criterium and promises to be an exciting preamble to the main event Saturday and Sunday. The “Crit” is perfect for those who love fast-paced competition.

The first leg of the main event – “La Épica Gravel Grinder®” will take place on Saturday offering a taste of what’s to come. It will offer two options:

For those who come to compete in one of the OPEN categories this will be an 80Km ride. 

Those who are riding for recreational purposes have the option of doing a shorter 50 Km route.

Sunday's second and final stage will be an 120Km ride for those who come to compete in one of the OPEN categories. 

Those who are riding for recreational purposes will, once again, have the option of doing a shorter 80 Km version of the route.
