Peter's Run

Race Description/Details:
"Peter's Run 5K Race & Bryant's Mile" is hosted by the Rose of Sharon Laymen's League in Bear Grass NC. The 5K race will be for runners that enjoy the spirit of competition. We will recognize the winners in all age groups for both genders. The date will be April 20th, 2019. It will be professionally managed by "Run The East Timing".

Bryant's Mile will be for those that would like to walk in support of the Project. It is named after and in memory of Pastor Bryant Hines who went to be with the Lord in 2017. Pastor loved to take his church members on field trips and always found a way to end those trips with a quick stop at Krispy Kreme. We will take note of this habit during the walk as the participants will stop and eat a donut at the halfway point.

This is a fundraiser who's profit will go to aid Project Empty Tomb. The needs each year for the Bear Grass Charter School's Food Pantry and the Rodgers Elementary Book Bag Program. It's also our hope that the success of this fundraiser will enable us to expand to helping others in need in our community.

Besides the fundraiser, the goal is also to draw attention to the Empty Tomb as April 21, 2019 will be Easter Sunday. Part of the event will be a short devotion praising God and acknowledging the fact that as Peter ran to that tomb on that first Easter he found it to be empty.

Peter's Run 5K Race- 8:15 AM
Bryant's Mile- 8:20 AM (Not Timed/No Awards)
Awards- 10:00 AM

T-shirts will be provided to 5K participants who register by 4/10/20

Bryant's Mile Registration Fee $20

Awards/Categories:
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female 5K finishers overall and in the following age categories: under 18, 18-29, 30-44, 45-59, and 60+.
