PRAI 5K and Kids Run

Pediatric Research and Advocacy Initiative (PRAI) is hosting their 3rd annual PRAI 5K and Kids Fast Dash on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at Bon Secours Redskins Training Center!  This family friendly race was voted "One of Richmond's Best Family Friendly Runs" by Style Magazine and we are excited to grow this race in it's new location!  

Following the race event, we hope you'll stick around for the PRAI 5K Afterparty, for inflatable obstacle course, DJ, Glitter Art, Bounce House, and Vendor Fair.  All race proceeds will benefit PRAI's mission of bringing national attention to PANS/PANDAS, raising awareness and providing research funding for this illness.   If you'd like to help us fundraise for research and education, you can do so here: FUNDRAISE!

WHAT IS PANS & PANDAS?

PANS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorder Associated with Strep) are affecting our children at an alarming rate. In 2017, it was estimated that 1:200 children will be impacted by these devastating disorders.  All race proceeds will benefit PANS Research Advocacy Initiative (PRAI) in raising awareness and providing research funding for this illness.   You can learn more about PANS, PANDAS on the PRAI on our website. 

ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS This will be a chip timed run! We will offer prizes to top 3 male and female finishers.  Strollers welcome but please no animals! Race packet pick-up will take place on Friday 9/20, location TBD. PLEASE NOTE:  T-shirts ARE NOT guaranteed for registrations received after 9/10/2019.  We will have a limited supply and they will be given on a first come first serve basis when picking up registration packets.
