Run for a Reason 5K - Greenville

Greenville Women's league presents the 7th Annual Run for a Reason 5K. Our service organization is dedicated to serving those in eastern North Carolina and Greenville, NC.

Join Greenville Women's League for the 7th annual Run for a Reason, benefiting Daughters of Worth a 501c(3) non-profit organization with a mission to educate, equip and empower girls of all ages to become strong women of influence in their communities.  Founded in 2015 with only 12 girls, Daughters of Worth now serves over 1,000 girls each month throughout Eastern NC and impacted over 4,000 girls during the 2018-19 school year through its' six signature programs.  Through this organization, girls of our communities are given the opportunity to participate in mentorship offered within 11 local schools and 4 after-school programs (GLAM girls program), receive monthly handwritten cards of encouragement written from the women of their community (Notes of Hope) and have access to some of life's basic essentials, such as food, clothes and personal hygiene bags. The vision of Daughters of Worth is to empower the girls of our communities to create the tomorrow of their dreams by making healthy, intentional decisions today!  As Daughters of Worth seeks to meet basic needs, pour hope and love into her heart and life, and invest into her present and future through GLAM girls (Girls Living a Mission) mentorship, lives of these precious girls are truly being transformed!

5K Awards

Awards medals will be awarded to: Top Finishers in Grades 3-8 (male and female), Top Three Finishers Overall (male and female), 1st - 3rd finishers (male and female) in the following age groups 1-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-99.
