Safe Passage 5k and Community Fiesta

Join us May 6, 2018 for an afternoon 5k and kids' fun run!  After the race, enjoy a family-friendly fiesta with live music by Primo Cubano and delicious Latin food.

Fundraising and Donations

All participants and visitors are encouraged to raise funds to benefit Safe Passage (Camino Seguro) programs in Guatemala City.  If you raise at least $100 for Safe Passage as an individual, your registration is free!

Who is Safe Passage?

Safe Passage, founded in 1999 by Yarmouth native Hanley Denning, provides comprehensive education, health and enrichment programs to nearly 500 students from 300 families living in the community around the Guatemala City garbage dump—one of the largest open landfills in Central America.

Your donations provide hope, education, and opportunity to our students and their families in the Guatemala City garbage dump community.
