Santa Rosa Marathon

Starts and finishes in downtown Santa Rosa oak and redwood studded Juilliard Park. This unique off road paved, hard-packed flat and accurate course follows the Santa Rosa Creek on the Prince Memorial Greenway. The course crosses three scenic rustic trestle bridges spanning picturesque tributaries, horse ranches, sprawling vineyards, cornfields, dairies and a large pond with its great white and blue heron, pelican, western pond turtle, red shouldered hawk and snowy white egret habitats.

The marathon is a double 13.1 mile loop that starts in Juilliard Park in downtown Santa Rosa. It is a flat, fast and accurate course that traverses the entire scenic Prince Memorial Greenway. Although the course is accurate to the nano-inch, it is not yet Boston Qualified because several miles are hardpacked shale, which makes it very difficult to get USATF certification. It is anticipated this area will be paved after the race and easier to obtain certification next year.

The half marathon starts at the same location and completes one loop.

Computer chip timing will be used. Results will be posted after the event. After finishing the chip will be retrieved by a race volunteer.

All marathon and half marathon runners will receive a quality wicking fabric T-shirt and a custom finisher medal. The T-Shirts will be handed out at the Health and Fitness Expo and the finisher medal will be presented to each runner as they cross the finish line.
