Marathon de Londres

Very well organised and run event. Many more charity runners/costumes than any other marathon I have ran which adds to the fun/friendly atmosphere. Going over Tower Bridge is a special moment, it creeps up on you and then turn right into a wall of sound.

I would not pay attention to the negative review above - sour grapes! The London Marathon is an amazing experience; for runners of all abilities. If you do not get a ballot place, there are MANY MANY charities out there with places that will happily have you. It's also not too hard to meet your fundraising target because of the length of time you have to fundraise from the point of getting a place. London is an amazing city and without doubt this is one of the best marathons to run/jog/hobble! :-)

Tough at points, Tower Bridge is the best part!

A great marathon to run, lots of people, large crowds and a great route. There is a buzz around the city and everyone gets involved. It is easy to see why this is one of the best and why hundreds of thousands enter the ballot each year.

Great route and fantastic crowds.

Extremely well organised, crowds are incredible, endless entertainment along route, really fun expo center, amazing city. I would highly recommend. Only minor negative is the route can get a little boring around isle of dogs although with the crowds you barely notice. Also bare in mind the first 3-4 miles are downhill so put a little downhill prep in for training.

Iconic race and extremely hard to get a place, atmosphere was amazing, finishers medal and pack had lots of samples

Incredible support all the way through and absolutely wonderful experience running through this incredible city.
