Team Sierra Earth Day 5K

Unfortunately with everything that's going on in the world right now, we felt that it was best to cancel this race. For anyone who had wanted to make a difference, feel free to donate to our Sierra Club link or pick up some litter. We hope that everyone can stay safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Have you ever PLOGGED?! This year's Earth Day race is all about picking up litter AS you jog! Plogging is a Swedish fitness trend that combines running with picking up litter. A pair of gloves and a recyclable bag is the best way to plog. So, in honor of Earth Day, connect with others and promote the importance of taking care of our planet by participating in a Virtual PLOGGING 5K. Participants are encouraged to run/walk on Earth Day which is Wednesday, April 22!  If that does not work for you, then run or walk 3.1 miles any day within the race window of Saturday, April 18-Sunday, April 26. Come join friends and other good Samaritans as we enjoy nature and raise awareness for  the Earth. The proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club, an environmental organization dedicated to explore, enjoy, and protect our planet.  All you have to do is run and you will be helping the Earth!  All participants will receive a race t-shirt. Let's raise money for our planet!  

How to participate in a Virtual run/walk:                                                                                                                                                                                                        1.Sign up                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              2.Pick which day during race week that you want to run/walk and PLOG                                                                                                                                                    3.Enjoy your plogging and keep track of your run/walk with any GPS, Bluetooth device, or running app (if you choose)                                                                     5.Send your app result with your time OR email your time to us (if you choose)                                                                                                                                         6.CELEBRATE that you just exercised and cleaned up our Earth at the same time!                                                                                                                                    7.
