Lovely fast route with beautiful views. Flat route, a little bit windy but a good race for personal record.

Amazing race, the track is pretty close to the beach and therefore has a comfortable weather. In 2019 it was very cold. One thing that bothered me was not enough water points. I highly recommend!

My first half marathon.

The route is quite scenic and you pass many monuments, so take your time to stop to marvel and to take photos. You also run through a long tunnel, where the Italians scream like crazy. A big part of the route is along the sea and a part of the return is going through the city. The route is mostly flat. There are a few ascents and descents, with the longest ascents being towards the end of the run (like the long tunnel and the last mile are ascents). The roads are not always in a good condition, so make sure you wear good shoes. The expo is quite basic with a few stands only. Getting the race kit is a fast process. You will need to queue up and wait longer to hand in your bag on race day and even longer to get it back at the end of the race. The expo where the start and finish lines are, are easily accessible by metro line 2. The stop is Campi Flegrei and from there it's a 2 minutes walk. It is called Metro line 2, but it is actually a suburban train, that has no number on it, but only the name of the destination. The runners where quite cheerful and came from different countries (I heard 50+). The capacity is 7,500, so it's not crowded, which makes it nice to run. The start is quick and there's no pushing each other. Since most of the roads are wide, there's plenty of room for everyone. There are not many spectators though and after 10am you'll see many tourists and locals at the cafes and walking next to the runners and even crossing to get to the various sights, cafes and restaurants. There are three drinks and food stations only and there was live music at one point. The temperature was around 10 degrees, but it was quite windy and it was very chilly at the start. Wear something warm.

I am a middle distance runner, who usually runs half marathons and one or two full marathons a year.

Absolutely a shame what happen when we retired our bags; there were people pushing from the back and we were forced towards the barriers. A runner fall unconscious in front of me. We were forced to jump above the barriers in order to get our bags and to save our lives. Never again in Naples.

Wonderful half marathon, highlight was the incredible scenery along luongamare as you run towards Vesuvius. I also loved the band and music at different points. It was very well run event and highly accessible to the event centre and start point. I really enjoyed it. Will do again. Thank you organizers and volunteers for doing a great job.

The only nice thing about the race was the route and the views. Unfortunately, it was extremely unorganised. When picking up your race things, there were no signs and it wasn’t at the same location that it listed. They also didn’t give you much in the race pack like many other races (only a tank top, hand sanitizer, and the race bib). At the first water station they did not have enough water for the runners so many went without. Before the race, they had no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms for the runners. During the race, they allowed cars onto the streets with the runners which was a huge safety hazard. Unfortunately I won’t ever be running this race again, despite the pretty views along the water. Would not recommend if you like any kind of basic organization, stability, or safety.

The course is not nice. The streets are in bad states and have a lot of holes. it is not nice to run on these cobblestones. No atmosphere at all.
