The Ultra Trail World Tour 2015 was launched last weekend in Hong-Kong with the Vibram® Hong Kong 100 Ultra Trail® Race.
The race starts on the Sai Kung Peninsula and runs though gorgeous sceneries : pristine beaches, ancient forests, reservoirs and steep hills. Most of the course follows Hong Kong’s scenic Maclehose Trail and ends by descending Mount Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong’s highest peak.
This year, the race was won by China’s Yan Long Fei in 09:52:42. Sondre Amdahl (Norway – 09:59:46) and Antoine Guillon (France – 10:30:02) complete the podium.
A local runner, Wyan Chow Pui Yan won the women’s race with a time of 12:24:56. Dong Li from China takes the secod place in 12:39:54 and Lisa Borzani (Italy – 12:50:38) the third.
The next stage of the Ultra Trail World Tour 2015 will be at the Tarawera 100K Ultramarathon on February 7th.
