A few weeks after the tragedy that killed 58 people, the city of Las Vegas hosted its annual Marathon and welcomed tens of thousands of participants in the different races.
Marathon
Gilles Rubio finished first in 02:38:04. He bested Karel Burger who crossed the finish line 3 minutes 23 seconds behind him. Finishing third was Tyler Pence (02:43:55).
In the women’s race, Marisa Hird won the race with a time of 02:55:19 , followed by Elizabeth Ehrhardt who finished with a time of 03:05:17. Finishing third was Julie Romera (03:07:47).

Half Marathon
Jeffrey Eggleston won the race with a time of 01:04:14. Yuki Yagi secured second in this year’s race with a time of 01:04:35. Wilkerson Given (01:04:45) made notched third place.
In the ladies race, Janet Bawcom claimed victory with a time of 01:18:02 . Sarah Crouch earned runner-up honors with a time of 01:18:24. The third place went to Georgia Porter with a time of 01:18:28

Matthew Liaw took top spot in 00:32:48. Carlos Arias earned runner-up honors with a time of 00:33:02. Rounding out the top three was Christian Kemp with a time of 00:34:21.
In the women’s race, Danielle Sgro took top honors by finishing the race in 00:42:59 . Emily Bonato earned runner-up honors with a time of 00:43:27. Finishing third was Margery Connor (00:44:25).

James McNally took top spot in 00:15:44. He bested Devin Mancuso who crossed the finish line 7 seconds behind him. Rounding out the top three was Derek Williams with a time of 00:15:53.
For the women, Nikki Regalado won the race with a time of 00:17:57 , ahead of Taylor Hoover (00:18:43). While Glynis Milne came in third at 00:19:07
