More than 5,300 runners completed the night run from Saint-Etienne to Lyon which was first attempted in 1951 and has been held consecutively since 2001.
Emmanuel David rounded out the top three with a time of 5:19:20.
For the women, it was Corail Bugnard (6:32:54) taking the top spot.
Stephanie Duc secured second with a time of 6:39:13.
Isabelle Jaussaud (6:46:07) finished third.
