Bridge Day 5K RUN

The Bridge Day 5K Run, sponsored by West Virginia University Institute of Technology, offers participants a unique opportunity to run across the New River Gorge Bridge, ending at Court Street in Fayetteville. Limited to 500 runners, the event prohibits walking due to road closures and enforces a minimum age of 8. Participants receive a finisher and top age group medals. Registration includes the option for event insurance. The race, supporting Active SWV and related community initiatives, requires racers to adhere to a 15-minute mile pace initially, with flexibility to adjust thereafter.
