Organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Morcote and the Carnevale association, this unique event invites just 100 adventurous participants to challenge themselves through a series of knockout heats. You'll race through picturesque narrow streets and ascend the monumental stairways leading from Piazza Granda to the Church of Santa Maria del Sasso, tackling 420 historic steps that promise breathtaking views. Inspired by Olympic disciplines, creator Pierre Derrien, a local resident of eight years, envisioned this competition as an exhilarating challenge on his regular training route. Each runner will have at least two opportunities to compete, ensuring a full experience of the vibrant and competitive spirit in this charming Swiss locale.
