Knarvikmila HalfMarathon

KnarvikMila is Norway’s flagship running event, seamlessly blending competitive racing with a rich program of cultural and community activities. Since its inception in 1982 by Helge Brekke and the athletic club FIL-AKS77, it has evolved into a week-long festival attracting thousands of runners worldwide. The race features scenic road and trail routes around Knarvik, offering varied terrain that challenges and excites endurance athletes. The atmosphere is energized by a diverse schedule that includes conferences, concerts, and trade fairs, creating a vibrant backdrop that extends far beyond the race itself. Supported by over 500 volunteers, the event fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and tradition. Pre and post-race events enhance the experience with opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate Norwegian running culture.
